“Fun facts about Mass Effect” is going to be the title of my autobiography.

#you can hear the rachni song on the moon #if you shoot the turret on the engineer’s back then he explodes# atlases have a weak spot in their groin #stick a singularity in the cerberus team car on mars #you can cheat me1 into thinking you didn’t shoot Wrex on Virmire when in fact you never had him #cannibals will run away from you to go chow on a recently-killed enemy #cannibals will not notice that they are on fire; plan accordingly #you can exploit an infinite morality points glitch when talking to lorik qui’in #it’s entirely possible to recruit everyone and have them all loyal and still kill off half your crew #bring legion on tali’s loyalty mission I promise you won’t regret it

There’s an infinite credits exploit with Doctor Michel, but it takes some time to pull off. You can skip talking to Anderson and the Council in ME2; nobody ever mentions it. Your answer to Miranda in the shuttle in ME2 is what decides who’s humanity’s ambassador, not your ME1 decision.

A properly-specced Dark Channel on an Infiltrator will kill a banshee in less than 30 seconds on lower difficulties.

If you start your game in ME3, Feros is literally never referenced except for a report on the Thorian in Dr. Bryson’s lab. The Cipher is never mentioned.

Scorpion rounds (and sticky grenades) fired into the floor make quick work of Guardians who step on them. With enough time and belief in yourself, you can get the Mako up the hill on Therum; the geth at the top won’t attack unless you’re out of the tank and that fight is supremely easy (spawnvehicle works too if you’re on PC with console enabled).

Stasis can one-shot one of the final scions on the platforms in ME2; it’ll just fall down into the chasm when the platform moves away. Speaking of, those scions are bugged and will never attack you. The music they used in Mordin’s loyalty and recruitment missions is the same music they use on Benning.

Suddenly I realized I shouldn’t have reblogged this without adding some. 😛

  • Miranda is so good at her job that she does not have to be loyal in order to survive the the fireteam leader position in ME2.
  • The drunk group of soldiers talking in the foyer of Purgatory are the teammates of Dominic Osoba’s son.
  • The PTSD-ridden asari in Huerta Memorial killed Joker’s little sister on Tiptree.
  • Rebekah and Michael (the arguing widow and brother-in-law in Citadel: Family Matters in ME1) appear in both of the subsequent two games in ambient dialogue — and share a last name with the Illusive Man’s “best-kept secret,” Oleg Petrovksy.
  • There are space pigeons on the Presidium in ME3.
  • Mordin makes casual reference in ME2 to ocular flashbangs being more effective than poison pills for suiciding agents — and one of Liara’s Shadow Broker messages in ME3 is the transcript of an abortive interrogation in which a Cerberus trooper used exactly that.
  • Did you let Rana Thanoptis go on Virmire and Korlus? Bad call — she was actually indoctrinated, and ends up committing suicide after setting a bomb that kills five asari military officers and four civilians.

I’m sure I’ve got plenty more. 😛 I love this series.

You can requisition a gun for the PTSD-ridden asari in Huerta Memorial after she asks for it from the Spectre terminal (because some people miss that), which is the last bit of new dialog you can get from her

i dont have a whole lot to add to this BUT

there’s an infinite paragon opportunity at the end of samara’s loyalty mission – just keep telling her you want to look around some more without ending the mission. it’s slow af but it works.

(and for ppl who don’t know, DO NOT put a non-loyal Miranda in charge of the first fire team. she’ll get the vent infiltrator killed. she can lead the second fire team, though.)

If you prevent Jack from killing the man that’s in her room at Pragia during her loyalty mission in ME2, the same guy later uses his biotics to buy enough time for a shuttle full of children to escape from Reaper forces (they were unlucky/werent a high enough class to be sent on one of the first shuttles, or something like that). He, of course, dies while doing this.//

If you visit Diana Allers after every mission and talk to her, before you head to Earth she will tell you her colony has been destroyed. She then also sends Shepard a really inspiring email called “Normal is the best revenge”.//

During Thane’s loyalty mission, there’s a dancer with the head of am asari but the body of a human (near where the turian does his shakedown)

The flying vehicles in LoTSB which spawn grunts when they land can kill you if they land on top of you.

You can avoid the husk spawning event on Horizon by sniping the Scions hiding behind the crates. They will not aggro even when shot; only when you walk off the ramp into the arena.

An Engineer Shepard has a Paragon interrupt on Omega which instantly reroutes the generator.

Combat Troops, the battle music that plays in ME2 during the Overlord DLC, is also played in combat during the N7 mission Fuel Reactors in ME3.

After your first conversation with Kaidan awake in the hospital, talk to him again to get an investigate dialogue wheel; unlike Ashley, his doesn’t automatically pop up at the end of conversation.

You must read the information Anderson sends you about Kai Leng (as in open the thing to look at it) in order to warn Miranda about him. If you don’t, she will die at the end of Horizon.

After Kaidan/Ashley has left the hospital, talk to Udina to get more information about their Spectre appointment

Focusing in on a weapon and pointing it at your companions in ME3 will cause them to crouch down and shuffle awkwardly away from you.

Shooting your companions in ME1 will cause their shields to shimmer.

Kaidan has in-combat dialogue that suggests he is sensitive to Banshee’s screams (can be heard on Mahavid if he has priority).

When you choose your team to take the Normandy back on the Citadel DLC, two companions will complain that they have not be taken; first will be the companion you take the most, the second will be the companion you take the least.

When you fall through the fish tank in the citadel DLC you’re contacted by two companions. One is your LI, if you’re lacking an LI it’s Liara, and the other is the companion you take on the most missions.

It is entirely possible for Mordin to survive Tuchunka. Both Wrex and Bakara have to die however, then you convince him Wreav is dangerous. He joins the crucible project.

If you bring EDI to help return the Normandy in the citadel DLC she is disconnected from the mainframe causing her robot body to malfunction.

Anti-Thorian grenades are not required on Feros. Simply melee the colonists to knock them out.

You can absolve Tali of treason without having high paragon or renegade. Both Veetor and Kal must be present to call for their support.

We all know of the secret reject ending to Mass Effect 3 by now but I feel it should be mentioned regardless. Shoot the Starchild.

If Wrex is alive and you sabotage the genophage he finds out and ambushes you on the citadel. If Wreav is in charge there’s no similar situation.
